Preparations continue and although a lot of effort has been spent on trying to get the Typhoon to fly at our show, it just didn't work out. Our friend Gen Fiore from the Italian Civil Protection has confirmed the CL415's participation. Letters to the Libyan military have arrived in the most appropriate quarters, both politically and militarily, and we wait with the hope that we finally have a Libyan military participation at this year's airshow.
August 14th, 2008
The RAF Typhoon planned to fly at the Malta International Airshow is now confirmed as cancelled due to it being asked to fly at the Barcellona airshow also being held during the same weekend.
End-July
It seems the RAF Typhoon will not make it to our show after all. Efforts are still continuing to have this formidable, new jet make an appearance at this year's event - watch this space.
Meeting with Malta's Civil Aviation Dept's director general, Mr Tony Gatt and his group of managers/experts took place to exchange views and consolidate the two organisations' excellent relationship.
June 2008
The Red Arrows confirmed for Malta for both Saturday and Sunday. The Team will close the show on Saturday and open the programme on the Sunday due to their departure on Sunday late afternoon.

Successful meeting with Ms G. Galea, recently-elected mayor of St Paul's Bay. The Local Council and the Malta Aviation Society will thrive to further increase the co-operation between the two parties.
