Polish Navy M28 Bryza
New participant Country...Poland

The Polish Navy representing Poland shall add to the growing list of countries participating in The Malta International Airshow. The Polish Navy M28 Bryza will be the taking part in the static display. The Malta Aviation Society would like to thank the Polish Navy for accepting our invitation for participation in this year's edition. The Bryza is one of the many variants of the An-28, the Bryza is the Maritime Patrol reconnaissance variant (equipped with: 360° Search and Surveillance Radar ASR-400, Link-11 datalink). Used mainly for sea border patrolling, search and rescue operations and protection of the national economical sea zone.

For the 2nd time in its history The Malta International Airshow is pleased to welcome again The Irish Air Corps. In this 19th Edition The Irish Air corps will be present on the static display with a Learjet 45. The Air Corps currently operates one Learjet 45. This aircraft entered service in 2004 and operates seven days a week usually in the Ministerial Air Transport role. In addition to its transport role, the Learjet 45 regularly carries out national and international patient transfer services in conjunction with the Department of Health and Children.

After an absence of 6 years we are delighted to have with us once again the world-famous Frecce Tricolori at this year’s edition of the Malta international Airshow. The world’s largest aerobatic team is planned to fly on both days and on Sunday will bring the show to an end.

The Royal Air Force (RAF) Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) C-47 Dakota will surely be one of the stars at The Malta International Airshow 19th edition. The Dak will feature amongst other types of aircraft coming for the Malta airshow from the Royal Air Force.

We are extremely delighted to have as our special guests the Swiss Air Force PC-7 Team for the Malta airshow 2011. The team first visited the island in 2006 and the public well remembers the renowned Swiss precision flying. Now resplendent in their new colours, the 9-aircraft formation team will again grace Malta's skies come September.
