Static & Flying Display.
The Malta International Airshow will take place at Malta International Airport. The flying display will take place along the shorter 05/23 Runway axis. At the airshow, one can stroll along the two or three lines of various kinds of aircraft, or watch the aerial spectacle which starts early afternoon.
There will be new car parking arrangements on the airfield this year due to the fact that the new hangars have taken a considerable percentage of what used to be the car park. While there will still be a large area reserved for car parking, it is recommended to use public transport. Buses will run from Valletta's main bus terminal straight to the airshow gate and vice-versa on both days, starting at 0930. A stall with food and drinks, as well as mobile toilets are available in the public area. Please remember the danger that garbage can create to aircraft.
Jets act like very powerful vacuum cleaners and will suck anything in the vicinity, including any rubbish left lying around the public area and flown towards the active area by winds. So do remember to use the litter bins around the area or take home if necessary. You will be helping in the safe running of the airshow. On behalf of the committee of the Malta International Airshow we wish you all an enjoyable, exicting and safe weekend at the show, and remember to wave at the display pilots when they taxi in back to their park - It immensely helps their ego!
