Italian Polizia di Stato returns at MIA2021
Last participating in the 2007 edition, the Italian Police returns this year with a UH-139C, another first for our airshow! The Airshow team is thrilled to welcome back a not so commonly seen operator at this year’s edition.
Designated UH-139C, the Italian Police operates eight aircraft in service at five different bases in central and southern Italy comprising three aircraft in Pratica di Mare close to Rome, two helicopters in Reggio Calabria and one each in Bari, Palermo and Fenosu.
The Italian Police’s AW139 configuration includes a high-definition latest generation FLIR, satellite communication system, searchlight, rescue hoist, cabin mission console and a high-definition video down link.
